Da Hong Pao (Oolong), Wuyi Rock area, Fujian, China
This tea has a captivating history, and may only be plucked from a few select tea bushes which are thought to have lived for hundreds of years. Da Hong Pao is named for the red robe that adorned it after it was thought to have saved a sick emperor.
Orchid aroma, fruity, with long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
Purple Tea (Black), Kenya
Purple tea is now made almost exclusively in Kenya. This rare purple tea has more to offer; it contains naturally occurring anthocyanin which may bring benefits for cardiovascular health, blood sugar metabolism, and cholesterol levels, as well as containing natural antioxidants. Anthocyanin is what gives the tea its distinct purple colour which is also found in red wine.
Sweet flavour, light vegetal notes with a refreshing finish.
Long Jing, Dragon Well (Green)
This is the most famous green tea in China. Very distinct shape: Smooth, perfectly flattened along the side, achieved by highly skilled shaping in a hot wok. This technique has been perfected by tea masters over many centuries.
The tea is mostly handmade and gives an inviting, vegetal, and toasty aroma.
Oriental Beauty (Oolong)
One of the most famous Oolongs in the world. It is a high-mountain, heavily fermented tea from Taiwan prized for its rich flavours and history. It is sometimes known as White Tip Oolong or Champagne Oolong. Its flavour depends heavily on careful and extensive processing.
Floral aroma, amber brown liquor with a taste of ripe fruits and honey. Smooth and mellow.
